Originally from Asia, Kaffir lime leaves are bright green on the top and light green on the back. The leaves grow in pairs, consisting of one larger and one smaller leaf. They have a refreshing, floral aroma and an explosive, persistent and delicate taste.
These Kaffir lime leaves are harvested by hand in Madagascar and then dried in the sun. They are widely used in Asian cuisine to flavor a rice dish, sautéed meat or seafood. Kaffir lime leaves have aromas of lemongrass and citrus fruits that will enhance a stew or an Asian dish.
Widely used in Asian cuisine, they can be used in soups, curries and rice, but also in fish, pork and chicken dishes, as well as for infusions and drinks with or without alcohol.
