The recipe was born hundreds of years ago in India and involves mixing coconut milk with turmeric and other spices. As well as giving your milk a wonderful golden hue, this recipe is loaded with health benefits: it is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and even anti-cancer; it is rich in probiotics and speeds up digestion, even acting as a detoxifier for the body.
Some studies point to turmeric as an ally in the prevention of degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. And that's not to mention the benefits for the heart, the immune system or reducing anxiety.
How to prepare:
When you prepare your milk in the morning, add a teaspoon of this mixture to a glass with one to two teaspoons of stevia (or any other sweetener you prefer) and another two teaspoons of water. Stir well until it becomes a paste. Then add 240 ml of unsweetened coconut milk, almond milk or another vegetable milk that you like better.
You can add ice and nuts.
May contain traces of other nuts and soy.
