Beans and their variants have excellent health benefits. As well as antioxidants, they contain the detoxifying mineral molybdenum. They are also a good source of fiber and protein and have a low glycemic index.

They produce alpha-amylase inhibitors, compounds that help regulate the deposit of fats in the body. In addition, beans have a decent supply of magnesium, a mineral with many health benefits.

Beans are one of the foods with the highest concentration of molybdenum. Although molybdenum was discovered in 1778, its benefits are relatively unknown. Molybdenum is extremely important for maintaining good health as it is necessary for the creation and activation of various detoxifying enzymes, such as aldehyde oxidase and sulfite oxidase.

Aldehyde oxidase neutralizes acetaldehydes, a metabolic product of yeast, fungi and alcohol. This metabolic product is also a significant constituent of tobacco and marijuana, as well as automotive exhaust.

Rich in slowly digestible carbohydrates, proteins and fiber, Beans are considered a low glycemic index food. The glycemic index is nothing more than a list that classifies foods based on their impact on blood sugar levels.

Foods with a high glycemic index, such as white bread and potatoes, have their energy chains broken down quickly during digestion, generating a spike in blood sugar and insulin levels.

This rapid increase is followed by a sudden drop in these levels. These fluctuations are commonly linked to heart problems, type 2 diabetes, cravings for glucose-rich foods and sudden tiredness.

On the other hand, foods with a low glycemic index, such as beans, do not imply sudden rises in blood sugar levels. This, in turn, helps to alleviate hunger cravings and sudden mood swings.

May contain traces of other nuts and soy.
