Rue tea is indicated for women who need to regulate their menstrual cycles.
Rue tea is commonly used to regulate the menstrual cycle, relieve the symptoms of conjunctivitis and treat muscle pain. This medicinal plant contains anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that help treat varicose veins and joint inflammation. Rue tea can strengthen your defenses, reduce fluid retention and regulate the nervous system. When used as an insecticide spray, rue tea becomes an excellent plant ally. You can also use it externally to combat parasites such as lice, fleas and scabies.
It is also recommended for treating asthma attacks, food poisoning, urinary infections and female cysts.
Other therapeutic uses: excess intestinal gas, menstrual cramps, anemia (caused by a lack of vitamin C), heartburn, migraines, anxiety, insomnia, uric acid, rheumatoid arthritis and poor blood circulation.
It is a shrub surrounded by mysticism, known as a plant capable of chasing away the evil eye and also used for blessings. It is often used by witch doctors in their prayers and in pots near the entrance doors of houses to protect the energy of the place.
In the Middle Ages, it was widely used in religious rituals as a protective herb against witchcraft. Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci claimed that it was thanks to the metaphysical powers of rue that both of them experienced significant improvements in their creative work. For these and other reasons, it is still used today to ward off the evil eye of envious people.
Rue tea has a very effective effect in bringing on menstruation. Consequently, in cases of pregnancy, it is a very big risk, as it stimulates the contraction of the muscle fibers of the uterus, causing heavy bleeding and even death! So if you're going to use it to force your period, you'd better make sure you're not pregnant first!
Rue tea also works as a powerful calming agent and is also indicated for external use, brewed very strong, to kill lice. It is also used externally to wash wounds, with the fresh, "bruised" leaves being used on wounds to aid healing.
