Marjoram Leaves
Teas | Medicinal Plants | Aromatic Herbs | Tisanes | Infusions
Marjoram is a perennial herb or plant, but sensitive to cold, with sweet flavors of pine and citrus.
It is grown for its aromatic leaves, green or dried, for culinary use; they are cut as the plants begin to flower and dried slowly in the shade. It is often used in herb combinations such as Herbes de Provence and Za'atar.
Marjoram is ideal for flavoring salads, vegetables, sweets, drinks and oils. Infuse with the dried or dried plant. The essential oil can be used in perfumery, to flavor soaps and hair products. Similar to oregano, marjoram is even more aromatic. Marjoram adds a sweet aftertaste to the warm, camphorous flavor. It is used in pasta, lasagna, pizza and salads. Combine with basil, rosemary, thyme and sage.
