Pau D'Arco is extracted directly from the inner bark of the "Tabebuia", a very common tree in tropical countries such as Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. Pau D'Arco has been part of the culture of indigenous tribes, especially the Incas, for many years. According to them, this plant helped treat intestinal problems, fever and even snake bites. Pau D'Arco is a tropical plant belonging to the Bignomiaceae family and is well suited to mountainous soils. As well as being used as a natural remedy, the indigenous people used the bark of this tree to make bows. The Pau D'Arco was so cultural that it even served as a source of inspiration for the Brazilian poet Patativa do Assaré.
