Carqueja is a small, branched, spontaneously growing shrub from the Fabaceae (legume) family. Carqueja is generally considered a weed because it grows on unkempt land. It also grows in any climate and is very resistant to forest fires. Carqueja is quite common in wild vegetation in Portugal, Spain and North Africa. As far as Portugal is concerned, Carqueja is commonly found in the north and center of the country, under pine trees.
Carqueja tea is traditionally indicated for regulating blood pressure and diabetes (ideal for hypertensive and diabetic people). You can also take it to strengthen your defenses, relieve throat irritation, improve your intestinal flora and detoxify your liver. Carqueja tea is therefore one of the most recommended medicinal teas for treating digestive, urinary and kidney problems. It is also considered an excellent ally for weight loss thanks to its diuretic properties. By stimulating blood circulation, Carqueja tea can improve cardiovascular and venous health.
Carqueja tea is a medicinal tea with a high anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and purifying potential. It is recognized as an excellent natural ally for liver and digestive well-being.
It is very powerful in detoxifying the liver, bladder problems, kidneys and pancreas. It solves stomatitis and gastroenteritis problems.
