Fennel is a plant rich in digestive and diuretic properties that are beneficial for the well-being of the stomach and intestines. When used as an infusion, Fennel stimulates digestion, promotes the production of breast milk and regulates intestinal transit. It can also act as a natural calming agent.
Fennel belongs to the parsley family and its sweet taste and aroma complements fish and seafood dishes. Wrap the fish in aluminum foil and sprinkle it with fennel and lemon before grilling. Add the fennel to olive oil, vinegar, mustard and honey and season the salmon with this sauce.
Fennel is also a powerful therapeutic herb widely used not only in home medicine, but also in perfumery, cooking and as a flavoring.
Fennel tea is considered a digestive tea recommended for relieving stomach discomfort caused, for example, by indigestion, heartburn, flatulence or food intolerance. It is also very suitable for helping to treat intestinal problems such as diarrhea, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. Fennel tea can be an excellent ally in relieving menstrual cramps, increasing drowsiness (ideal for those with insomnia) and relaxing muscles.
