Catuaba is a tropical plant from the Erythroxylaceae family that is very common in Brazil and is commonly used as a natural tonic, stimulant and aphrodisiac. The root and bark are the only parts of Catuaba used for infusions. Drinking Catuaba tea can help combat tiredness, lack of memory, weakness and sexual impotence. This aphrodisiac plant can be used as a natural sexual stimulant to increase libido in both men and women. It is known for helping to stimulate blood flow, including in the male genital organs, helping to strengthen and prolong erections.
Catuaba is a small tree that produces inedible yellow and orange flowers. Catuaba infusion has been consumed for hundreds of years by Brazil's indigenous peoples for sexual purposes. It may have been used as a natural method against infertility. According to some studies, Catuaba may have antiviral, diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties. It may also contribute to the proper functioning of the nervous and cardiovascular systems thanks to its anti-hypertensive potential.
An infusion of the root is used in traditional Brazilian medicine as an aphrodisiac and central nervous system stimulant. A decoction of the root is commonly used for impotence, agitation, nervousness, neuralgia and tiredness, memory problems and sexual weakness.
