Azuki beans have been cultivated for millennia in China and Japan, where they are considered the "King of Beans". Azuki beans are easy to digest.
Legumes such as azuki beans are indispensable in the diet. They are very rich in protein, complete carbohydrates and fiber, when combined with other whole grains.
How to prepare:
Soak for a few hours (8 to 12 hours) or overnight. Cook with water in a saucepan for 40-45 minutes or in a pressure cooker for 15-20 minutes. Use in soups, stews, feijoadas, pâtés, fillings, pastries or sweets.
